A nation is made of people. For the common good of all people it is the responsibility of every citizen to grant his fellow citizens human rights. Not in part and pieces. But in totality.
Those who try to force beliefs that go against these rights are unfeeling and insensitive towards his fellow citizens. They do not have a right to behave in this manner.
Maldivis should not continue to enforce a particular religion on all its citizens. There must be room for people of all faiths.
People own a nation. The idea that a particular religion owns a nation is antiquated, unreasonable and heartless.
No religion should claim or own our nation.

We are greater than any religion; most of all Islam. We were already civilised when Muhammad was grazing camels and prescribing camel urine as a vitamin. Surely any particular religion has to play second fiddle to our great nation on our own soil.

hey.i think hating islam and hate breeding blogs will not solve anything.if you dont like gayoom's policies u critticise them...not nasreena's boobs.

in the same way...if you dont like islam criticize islam...but dont try to hurt muslims...maybe they dont understand what you understand...if you think mohamed was not good or what ever...u just tell that...by citing evidence...like the hadith about camel urine (in this case) ..so ,in that way muslims will read it and might understand it the way you believe..and btw....christianity is also just another religion.and u are just calling gudho gudho.the best way for me is doubt religions, love god and his children and creatures!

god bless you all,and may he show us a day we can live freely in our mother land which i believe is a gift from god...to all of us.not just muslims!

nice blog u have here. at least better than those ArabiGuitar church boys.

i completely agree that we should have relgious freedom in maldives where ppl of other religions can practice their believes in full freedom.

but the problem only comes when as ur 2nd commented here has already said, creating hate blogs n hating islam, which is the religion followed by the majority in maldives.

if u want to gain respect, u shud give respect to others also.

all muslims in maldives know that there is religious freedom in Islam. The maldivian law restricting it is not their fault, not is it islam's fault.

my point here is, there is no problem with non muslim maldivians. only problem is they think they can only win or change the maldivian laws by harassing muslims, which i think would do nothing else but create more problems.

i have no doubt that this blog is connected with those ArabiGuitar folks. perhaps u can give them a lil advice: if they want respect from maldivian muslims, they shud respect them in the first place.

Nass, it is rich coming from you, the request to respect Islam. Islam has no respect for any other faith. Yes, Islam tolerates some faiths strictly on its own terms. That is to say, those who follow other faiths have a subordinate status to Muslims.

All Muslims in Maldives (as elsewhere) know the truth of religious freedom in Islam. The truth is that certain approved non-Muslim communities in Islamic countries that date back to before the Islamic conquest have restricted freedom of worship. Islam does not allow a Muslim to convert out of Islam. Irtidad (apostasy) is a capital offence in Islam. If you are saying that this is not true then you are a liar.

Maldivian statutes are totally silent on freedom of religion. It is categorically incorrect to say that "The maldivian law restricting it [religious freedom] is not their fault". No such law exists. It is the Sharia that restricts conversion out of Islam in the Maldives; simple as that. (I know, I know, the 1997 constitution defines "law" to include the Sharia but then this is just a technicality) So yes, it IS the fault of Islam, its author Muhammad and his alter-ego Allah that non-Muslim Maldivians like me do not have the right to practise our faith in the open.

Please don't quote Muhammad's hackneyed clichés such as "La ikraahu fi d-din" (there is no compulsion in religion) and "lakum dinukum wa liya din" (your religion for you and my religion for me) as proof of Islamic tolerance. These were uttered by Muhammad in Mecca before his conquest of the town and so he was pleading tolerance from his tribe. As soon as he conquered his family, he showed no such niceties.

So no, Nass, I can categorically state that there is no freedom of religion in Islam other than freedom to convert into Islam. Don't fool yourself; you are certainly not fooling me!

DC,

i didn't say respect islam. I sed respect Maldivian muslims. there's a difference there.

if u read my earlier comment, u can see that i wasn't trying to fool anybody.

all i said was if christians want respect from muslims in maldives, they have to respect them. n if u or others cant accept that simple fact, i don't think ur dreams will ever come true. that's all.

i don't remember quoting anybody either. u see, attitudes like that don't help the situation.

think again , with a clear head this time, n c what i sed is wrong.

Nass,
It of wrong for you to attack all Christians because you dislike Arabi guitar.
May you see the light...

Nass, Did I say you quoted anyone? I asked you not to quote Mohamed’s hackneyed statements as those two statements by your cult leader are often used by Muslims to claim that there is freedom of religion in Islam.

Why do Maldivian Muslims deserve respect when you violate all known civilised norms to deny freedom of religion? Would you, Nass, in all honesty tolerate Maldivian Christians openly practising our religion in Maldives? If the answer is "yes" tell us so. Would you actively campaign for our basic human right to practise our religion? If the answer is "yes" say so. When you acknowledge and campaign for all this openly, actively and proactively, I will respect you. On a case by case basis I will respect any other Maldivian Muslim who acknowledges these.

Nass, you probably are in Malaysia or some such fanatical centre of Islam. There are other Muslims like you from Maldives in traditionally Christian countries to study and to work. Those Maldivians are able to exercise freedom of religion in those countries because those countries respect universal laws of human rights. You Muslim Maldivians, while taking advantage of those countries vehemently oppose reciprocal freedoms in Maldives for Maldivian Christians. Do you call this respect? No, you Muslims have absolutely no respect for anyone else and yet have the gall to demand respect from others.

If you enjoy the freedom to travel to and freely worship Allah in traditionally Christian countries and earn tourist money from them, then begin by respecting your own Christian minority, which is growing by the day. If you are unwilling to do that just get a job as a servant for some Saudi or Qatari and see how he treats you. Stop looking at traditionally Christian countries for technology, income, education and healthcare. Get yourself a jallabiyya, don a ghutra and agal and beat up your wives, as the Koran tells you to do. And don’t forget that miswak to use instead of dental floss and the fortified camel urine for a dietary supplement.

Nass, Since you made your rendezvous in cyberspace you have matured a lot. That's great and one day you may fully understand how to behave like a tolerant member of civilised society. Like me, one day you may even acknowledge that, in our own soil, our great nation is greater than Islam or any other religion. I am a Christian but I am a Maldivian first and foremost. I am proud of my ancient heritage. Are you?

If I "don't hear" from you again it does not mean there is going to be freedom of religion in Maldives. Yes, Islam is not a religion of peace. It never has been and it never will be. You only have to read how Muhammad subjugated those around him and how he and his immediate successors attacked the mighty nations of their day; totally unprovoked. Subsequent Islamic conquests in Central Asia, India, Persia, North Africa and Europe, were by and large savage and brutal. So sorry, I cannot accept that Islam or its author are or were peaceful. Your personal intentions for peace are honourable but meaningless if you do not condemn the brutality of Islam and Muhammad.

Nass, You said "And just becos I believe [in freedom of religion] that doesn't mean I have to go and campaign for it, does it?"

I think you have an obligation to actively and proactively campaign for religious freedom if you believe that Islam guarantees Muslims the right to leave Islam and profess other faiths. If you feel that Islam has been wrongfully hijacked by Islamic rulers who unlawfully deny ex-Muslims a right guaranteed in Islam, then it is your Islamic obligation to stand up and be counted.

I just have a feeling that I will hear from you again because deep down I know that, like me, you are a patriotic Maldivian before you are a member of any religious faith.

"there are many people who believe maldives should be a secular state. important political figures too. but i don't see them campaigning either."

They should be and so should you. National reconciliation, peace and prosperity will follow if all Maldivians, irrespective of religion, were allowed to co-exist with full civil rights. On our own soil, our nation is greater than Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Sikkism, Wicca or Falun Gong. When Maldivian Muslims officially acknowledge that then I will overlook Muhammad's savagery.

In the final analysis your blog or that of my fellow kuffars' (this blog) do not count. As long as the Maldivian state does not recognise our civil rights, the campaign will continue. Please don't take it personally. At a personal level you cannot either grant us or deny our civil rights. Our campaign is not directed at you personally and so there is no point in negotiating terms with you.

In the meantime, you will just have to put up with our exposure of the savage that Muhammad was.

Anonymous said...

And by the way, none of us kuffar here are the least bit concerned about your comments you make in your blogs. You are welcome to continue “insulting” us. At least I don't take insults personally. You are welcome to give your version of Christianity. That will in no way diminish anything from Christianity. Christianity has withstood the test of critique and will continue to do so. Christian societies welcome, and encourage critique. That is how we grow and thrive. Jesus told us to show the other cheek and we do so with pleasure. So your blogs are in fact contributing to our growth. Please keep it up with our full blessings!

Just to tell you that the fact is 99 of Maldivians dont want to give way to the freedom of what you ask for. Hence, I suggest you to get out of this nation to practice your religious beleifs. Let me clarify you on why this course of action is being recommended. We totally respect you as a christian and as a Maldivian the nation is every inch yours as it belongs to the rest of the 99%. Just suppose a group of your 10 friends including u own an aeroplane. If you all guys go on a trip and if you suddenly decide to blow up 10% of your rightly owned share of the plane, should others let you excersise your right.(Im sure they will throw you out of the plane before you could do that)In this case either you have to suppress your want or leave the partnership. On the The scenario what do you do if your 9 freinds decide to blow their share hoping to acheive a goal which they belive is benificial for them. Ofcourse you grab the parachute and jump. on both the cases, who decides what is right and what is best? Its all a matter of opinion and the perception of what is "right" isnt it? anyway to make it short, think of the soceity (nation) as the plane. If we take a logical step towards having a soceity which the 99% of the people want, I ask you what course of action should be taken? If you had asked me, i would simply say that I would kill you. dont take me wrong here, its nothing personal . Just that for me no one person is more important than the will of the people.

Please learn the Christian religion to be a Christian. Just Google "the history of trinity" and you will find the cornerstone of Christianity shattering down by itself and these are the facts written by Christians themselves not Muslims. These are the reasons that why many Christians are converting to Muslims day by day.

I am a Christian living in the West, and I agree that Christians, like all people, are sinners. Like all people ,I deserve to be punished by eternal death, because God is holy and my sin seperates me from Him. However, God in His mercy made a way for me to have a reationship with Him. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in my place, taking the punishment I deserve, and He even gives me the faith to trust Him and believe in this! It is a wonderful thing to receive forgiveness for my my sin and assurance of life eternal with God who created me! I have been praying for the people of the Maldives, because my son and his wife went there on honeymoon last year, and they showed us beautiful pictures of a beautiful place, but it has ugliness within, in the repression of all things non-muslim. I urge all muslims reading this to open up your minds and your hearts. Ask God to reveal Himself to you. Ask Him to show you the truth. I also pray that I am doing the right thing in posting this, as my intention is not to offend or to inflame , but to speak up for the name of Jesus, whom I love and serve, and to share what He means to me.

Hey, I think you guys must try to know about Islam! You know once I was a atheist, but I tried to find the truth and I found it in Islam! Guys, cry to God to show us the truth! Islam says "Do not except anything without proof". formula = Knowing Allah = Love Allah = Obey Allah!

Every religion of the world has been named either after its founder or after the community or nation in which it was born. For instance, Christianity takes its name from its prophet Jesus Christ; Buddhism from its founder. Gautama Buddha; Zoroastrianism from its founder Zoroaster; and Judaism the religion of the Jews from the name of the tribe Judah (of the country of Judea) where it originated. The same is true of all other religions except Islam, which enjoys the unique distinction of having no such association with any particular person or people or country. Nor is it the product of any human mind. It is a universal religion and its objective is to create and cultivate in man the quality and attitude of Islam.

Islam, in fact, is an attributive title. Anyone who possesses this attribute, whatever race, community, country or group he belongs to, is a Muslim. According to the Qur'an (the Holy Book of the Muslims), among every people and in all ages there have been good and righteous people who possessed this attribute — and all of them were and are Muslims.

Islam — What Does it Mean?

Islam is an Arabic word and connotes submission, surrender and obedience. As a religion, Islam stands for complete submission and obedience to Allah.1 (1. Another literal meaning of the word Islam is "peace' and this signifies that one can achieve real peace of body and mind only through submission and obedience to Allah. Such a life of obedience brings with it peace of the heart and establishes real peace in society at large.

We Muslims love Jesus Peace be upon him, We believe he was one of the mightiest messenger of the God, We believe he was born miraculously without any male intervention,We belive he heal those born blind and gave life to the dead with God permition. Just the thing we don't belive that some cristians say Jesus(PBUH) is God, infact there is no where in the bible where Jesus(PBUH) him self say "I am God or Worship me" but Jesus(PBUH) said, "Its not my will its God's will". We say Jesus (PBUH) is a Muslim. We love him. In the Qur'an God said "the similarity of criating Jesus(PBUH) is like Adam(PBUH) God say be and it is". Brothers don't worship any human or any thing which is created, worship the Creator!!

Christians Claim - Jesus is "Son of God"
Muslims Say - Jesus is a "Prophet of God"
But the Real Question is -
"Who Really Follows Jesus?"

Test Your Knowledge of Jesus' Teachings & Consider these 14 Interesting Questions:
The Jesus Test
An Introduction to the Message of the Prophets of The "Lost" and "Last" Testaments

1). Did Jesus teach eternal life was conditioned on obeying the commandments? Yes ___ No __
Answer in the Bible:
And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tempted him, saying, "Master what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the Law? How do you read?" And he answered saying, "Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind, and thy neighbor as thyself. And he said unto him. You have answered right; do this, and you shall live."
Luke 10: 25-28
God has only created us to worship Him (without partners).
Read Last Testament (Quran) Chapter 51, verse 56; chapter 4, verse 48; chapter 112, all verses

Muhammad Ibn Abdul Kareem said...

2). Did Jesus teach his followers to serve no other god, except Almighty God, and worship Him without any partners?
Yes ___ No ___
Answer in the Bible:
And Jesus answered him, the first of all the commandments is,
"Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord, and you shall worship Him with all your strength and all your might and all your soul and all your heart."
Mark 12:29
He also replied to the devil who was trying to tempt him:
Answer in the Bible:
"Get thee behind me, Satan; for it is written, Thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shall you serve."
Matthew 4:10
Read from the Last Testament (Quran) 4:48

God tells us that He never forgives anyone making partners in worship with Him, but anything less than this, He forgives whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Him in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin.
3). Did Jesus order us to obey all the commandments?
Yes ___ No ___
According to the New Testament in Matthew, he did.
Answer in the Bible:
"Think not that I came to destroy the Law and the Prophets. I came not to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily, I say unto you that until Heaven and earth pass away not a jot or one tittle shall no wise pass from the Law, till all be fulfilled."
Matthew 5:17-18
Answer in the Bible:
"And behold one came and said to him, Good teacher, what good things shall I do that I may have eternal life? So he said, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but One, this God. But if you want to enter into eternal life, keep the commandments."
Matthew 19:16-17
Answer in the Bible:
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Matthew 7:12

Answer in the Bible:
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22:36-40
While ordering us to obey the "Law" it becomes obvious that he ordered his followers to obey the commandments of Almighty God.

Muhammad Ibn Abdul Kareem said...

4.) Did Jesus forbid bowing down to statues?
Yes ___ No ___
By insisting on following the "Law" (Old Testament), Jesus did in fact endorse the message that Moses had brought down to the children of Israel from Almighty God;

Answer in the Bible:
"Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in the heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them."
5.) Did Jesus forbid anyone to worship him?
Yes ___ No ___
Answer in the Bible:
"But in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
Matthew 15:19
And in prophesying the Last Days, he clearly taught the same message:

Answer in the Bible:
"But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: For the Father seeks such to worship Him. God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth."
John 4:23-24
6.) Did Jesus openly deny divinity (said he was not God)?
Yes___ No ___
Answer in the Bible:
"The Father is greater than I." - John 14:28

Muhammad Ibn Abdul Kareem said...

7.) Did Jesus deny that he had the power of God to do his miracles?
Yes ___ No ___
Answer in the Bible:
"I do nothing of myself" - John 8:28
"Men of Israel listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you know."
Acts 2:22
8.) Did Jesus deny any partners (Trinity) with Almighty God?
Yes ___ No ___
Answer in the Bible:
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
John 8:42

Answer in the Bible:
Jesus answered, If I honor myself, my honor is nothing: it is my Father that honors me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
John 8:54
Answer in the Bible:
…and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
John 20:17
9.) Did Jesus forbid the Christmas tree?
Yes ___ No ___
Answer in the Bible:
"Thus says the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain; for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not."
Jeremiah 10:2-4
10.) Did Jesus teach that males should be circumcised?
Yes ___ No ___
Genesis 17:10-11 says he did. "This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your seed after you. Every man child among you shall be circumcised. And you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant between me and you."

Answer in the Bible:
John the Baptist was circumcised (Luke 1:59) as was Jesus himself (Luke 2:21)
11.) Did Jesus forbid eating pork?
Yes ___ No ___
Answer in the Bible:
"And swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven-footed, yet he chews not the cud; he is unclean to you. Of their flesh shall you not eat, and their carcass shall you not touch, they are unclean to you."
Leviticus 11:7-8 And Exodus 20:4-5

Muhammad Ibn Abdul Kareem said...

12.) Was Jesus a prophet?
Yes ___ No ___
Answer in the Bible:
And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people.
Luke 24:19

Answer in the Bible:
The woman said unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
John 4:19

Answer in the Bible:
They say unto the blind man again, What do you say of him, that he has opened your eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
John 9:17
13.) Did Jesus predict the coming of another prophet, like unto him?
Yes ___ No ___

Hey guys,

The Muslims and the Christians.. please consider the following.

* Religion is not a competition.
* God did not want it as a competition.
* The way you guys sound it is like a competition.

To all religion has to be a means of salvation.
Thats how God intended it to be.
But salvation only comes to people through God.
No body is smart to Know God.
But He shows the right path to people who He chooses to show it.
No body comes to God unless through God taking initiative and saving that person.
God says we all must be born again to enter into God's kingdom.
SO think about that. How to be born again since you are already born into the world? Is Jesus who said this is crazy? or think about why he said this.

May God call you to life .. so that you may read this and research about what I just said.
